About the Role

Southern Rural Water is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team as the Team Leader Irrigation Delivery (TLID) on a 12-month fixed term role.

As the TLID, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a collaborative, high performing culture where meeting and exceeding targets is a shared commitment. Your leadership will promote a positive and productive work environment, fostering a team culture centred on growth and shared achievements.

Working within the Water Supply East team and as part of the management group, you will oversee the Water Supply East infrastructure, systems, and delivery services to achieve SRW’s corporate goals. Operating within broad guidelines and under minimal direction, you will ensure that performance and productivity standards are consistently met to support strategic outcomes.

You will use your strong relationship building skills to maintain effective relationships with contractors, stakeholders, customer and services providers whilst playing a lead role in infrastructure works and capital planning.

As the Team Leader Irrigation District, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Cultivating a customer focused culture within the Delivery and Maintenance team and actively championing and leading SRW’s Values.
  • Support the delivery of water and maintenance activities to customers within Water Supply East.
  • Ensuring maintenance operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, aligning with service expectations.
  • Assist with capital planning programs and the development of project proposals, business cases and problem statements.
  • Support the integration and ongoing maintenance requirements of modernised assets within the irrigation district.

About you

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:

  • Experience in Maintenance or Asset Management.
  • Proven leadership skills in staff supervision and guiding teams to deliver efficient, high-quality outcomes for customers.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills with the ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work with managers to understand service expectations and meet service standards.
