About the Role
Southern Rural Water is currently looking for a System Performance Officer to join our team in undertaking daily system operation, customer engagement and performance monitoring of automated delivery systems within the Macalister Irrigation District.
This is a dynamic role that offers variety and challenge, with responsibilities including coordinating meter readings, recording of maintenance issues, using the AMS database, and undertaking routine maintenance activities.
This opportunity will suit a team player with high level of attention to detail as you will work closely and collaboratively with our Planners, Technical Officers and Maintenance staff to rectify performance issues impacting automated delivery systems.
As the System Performance Officer, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Engage directly with customers to ensure automated channels systems are meeting service requirements.
- Monitor automated and SCADA controlled systems to ensure they are operating to meet customer service delivery and system performance expectations and targets.
- Monitor, review and provide advice to action issues identified in the Channel Performance Report to rectify performance problems and defects.
- Liaise with Water, Technical and Maintenance staff to ensure customer service and system performance levels are met.
About you
The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:
- Understanding of the operation and maintenance of irrigation and drainage infrastructure or equivalent.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal and stakeholders at all levels.
- Developed skills in operating water delivery systems, including automated delivery systems is desirable.
- Adopt an Always Safe approach with the ability to manage and mitigate risks.
