About the Role
Southern Rural Water is currently seeking a motivated Project Manager to join our team in Maffra. If you have a background in end-to-end project management and enjoy the variety and challenge that comes with delivering projects from concept through to completion, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
Based out of our Maffra Office, The Project Manager – Capital Delivery plays a key role in the successful delivery of a broad range of capital works projects. You will be responsible for managing all stages of the project lifecycle from developing business cases and planning, through to execution and final delivery.
As the Project Manager, you will play an important role in shaping successful outcomes by taking ownership of individual projects, ensuring adherence to agreed scope, delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
As the Project Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering capital projects and programs in accordance with SRW governance processes, policies and procedures.
- Oversight of individual projects and project reporting.
- Reviewing designs and documents, including tender documents, specifications and drawings, ensuring they meet SRW project and operational requirements.
- Obtaining relevant project approvals, including relevant permits, site investigations, surveys, environmental, cultural heritage and other authority approvals.

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, Water Industry or Construction, along with relevant professional experience.
- Business Case Development.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, handover and closure.
- Ability to deliver projects within agreed scope, time frame, and budget constraints.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with demonstrated ability to engage with and lead stakeholder discussions and meetings.
