About the Role

Southern Rural Water is currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver high value ICT and digital transformation projects central to our strategic priorities and long term success. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards enterprise wide technology initiatives and play a key role in major projects already underway in our digital transformation program.

The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the planning, execution, and delivery of major ICT and digital transformation projects, with a strong focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and other high value, enterprise wide technology programs. You will provide strategic leadership across the full project lifecycle, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and aligned with SRW’s corporate objectives.

As the Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership and expertise to ICT project teams, implement robust governance frameworks, and foster strong stakeholder engagement. A critical aspect of the role will be driving system adoption and organisational change, ensuring that initiatives deliver sustainable business value and long term benefits.

As the Senior Project Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ERP and other complex technology projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, budget, and aligned to SRW outcomes.
  • Define project scope, requirements, deliverables, resourcing, and budgets, supported by robust risk and benefits management.
  • Provide governance, reporting, and oversight across all phases of the project lifecycle, including executive and board committee updates.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with business units, executives, partners, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with organisational strategy.
  • Manage vendors and partners, ensuring capability, quality, performance, and risk obligations are met.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

The successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate some of the desired experience and abilities below:

  • Degree or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience leading complex digital transformation projects, particularly across ERP (- Major Platforms i.e. Microsoft, TechOne, CIVICA) and infrastructure (cloud, networks, cybersecurity).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and technical teams through the full project lifecycle from solution design and integration to go-live, transition, and change adoption.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Technology One, CIVICA with expertise in cybersecurity, identity management, and data governance in regulated environments.
